Description
The prebiotic that we use is chicory inulin. A
prebiotic is a carbohydrate that is not digested in your stomach and acts as a
food source for the healthy bacteria in your gut. Many say that taking
prebiotics is more important that probiotics (cultured products), because it is
likely that many probiotics do not survive your stomach, and cannot attach to
your gut wall due to the microflora already attached.
Like all our juices and smoothies, the Hemp Prebiotic
Smoothie is whole-fruit, and this combined with the chicory inulin and hemp
seed powder, provides 7.5g of fibre per bottle, which achieves the
government rating of “excellent source of fibre”.
It truly is a superfood smoothie, covering off protein,
fibre, gut health, omegas, vitamins and minerals. It also has ginger
juice added, for even more antioxidants.
